About Us

We made our first real estate investment, actually 2 at the same time, closing the purchases early this year (2008). My name is Fred and my wife is Sally, of course those aren’t our real names. We live in Europe and we bought 2 small flats in France. We’ve had some problems already with our investment and after some things we have learned (like more expenses than we took into account!) we realized that even with everything running smoothly we will be cashflow negative on the 2 properties.

Of course, we won’t let this little miscalculation get to us. Instead we decided to setup this blog to discuss what we have learned and what we are learning about property investing as well as investing in general. We are short about €150 per month to break even on our properties so we have started this blog to generate advertising revenue to put our real estate related asset cashflow back into the positive column.

One day we will be rich and look back and say “Look how financially stupid we were!”. If you are a beginner too, you can join us in the learning process.
