Financial Update March 26th
Well, Sally and I have been struggling as of late. Sally was pretty upset today with all the expenses we’re having lately. We were used to having some money to put aside for our future home (we rent now), savings and investing but lately we are just barely getting by.
Our flat purchases/investments in France continue to drain our finances as we are now paying off a €4000 community expense on one of the flats, where they are fixing the outer part of the entire apartment complex. We also have to pay taxes now on the property (although we have negative cash flow) and also the tax accountant, who costs €600 to make the declaration for us.
So our first major investments continue to be a big mistakes as they drain money other people might be using for a new car, vacations, clothes. We’ll see what the future holds but so far it’s no piece of cake.
My Internet business is quite saddled with expense as well as I now have a full time local employee. It’s quite an uphill battle at this point to earn enough to keep all my workers, whereas before I sat back and collected the cash flow. Hopefully it will pay off in the end.
