New Renter and our meager investment update

July 9, 2009 | Author: Fred | Filed under: Real Estate

After 3 months of vacancy and a loss of another €975 (from vacancy) and €325 (agency commission for finding new renter) we finally have both flats rented again. To me it seems that our agency could maybe be a little more proactive in finding a renter but maybe the market just doesn’t have that much to offer.

Our silly €300 euro investment in Trump Entertainment Resorts stock, although the company is in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and listed on the pink sheets, seems to continue to hold up. It’s currently at 18 cents and we bought it at 24 cents about a year ago. It had gone down as low as 6 cents I believe. Now it seems Trump wants to retake over the casinos although he resigned last February. I’m not sure if that is good news or bad new because I have no clue what will happen to shareholder’s  stock, although it is still being traded.
